
Is it the way the woman blends in with the background? Or her ridiculous pose (that is difficult to make out to begin with)? Or is it how busy all the elements make it an assault on the eyes? The blown out white contrasting with jet black sky? The random pattern at the top thrown in to make it all the more busy?
Thankfully, this cover was only used once in 2006 and then the book was reissued with some much better covers by another publisher:
